WHAT TO WEAR: Fall

Between pumpkin spice, Halloween, and thigh-high boots—who doesn’t love fall? Autumn is my personal favorite season to dress for, and this Fashionista is as ready as ever to hit the streets in her fall attire.

In the fall, it is still warm enough to show some skin, but just cold enough for sweaters and boots. This Fashionista paired her chunky gray sweater dress with tight suede thigh high boots. These two items are essentials for fall that can transition into suitable winter items.

Sweater dresses never go out of style due to the fact that they can be worn as a dress or as a long, cozy sweater depending on the ensemble that they are being paired with. Thigh high boots, similar to the ones shown, are so in this season. Strolling through campus and the city streets, I have spotted them everywhere. Pictured are simple black boots with a medium size heel, but these boots can be found in all different colors and heel sizes.

The outfit that this Fashionista is wearing can be worn for a multitude of occasions. If she wants to wear this outfit to class, she can simply throw on leggings under the sweater dress for a more casual look. She can also ditch the sweater and put on a T-shirt dress or sundress with the boots if she wants to go out with friends after school and be more fancy.

I can not stress how important I feel it is to have items in the closet that can be paired with different outfits to be fitting for multiple occasions. Living in a big city, it is especially important to be able to quickly change an outfit while remaining comfortable. Sweaters and boots are the perfect items to accomplish this.

In order to transition this outfit from fall to winter, like mentioned above, this Fashionista could simply put on dark wash jeans under the sweater and a cute beanie to keep her head as warm as the rest of her!
