Hey everyone! My name is Kaitlyn, but most people call me Kait! I am a freshmen at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City. New York City can be said to be a melting pot of the world. Simply put, New York is very diverse and is filled with people of every ethnicity, culture, race, and background. Every street corner has something different and eye-catching. From the billboards in Times Square to the store windows seen as you walk up and down every block- inspiration is everywhere in New York City. Everyone’s personal style comes to life and trends are taken to a whole new level in this beautiful city, I like to call my home away from home.
I’m a girl who attended private school and wore a uniform her entire life. Diversity was lacking and self expression was nonexistent. Style is a personal way to paint a picture of who you are to the rest of world using your wardrobe.
Lastly, I would like to share a little bit more about my quirky self. I have lived on Long Island my entire life and could be considered a pizza enthusiast. I love all animals- especially pomeranians and pigs. My family and friends mean the absolute world to me, and I am always down for an adventure even if its at 4:00 a.m. Like any teenager, I get stressed, but I am a generally happy person as long as I have food and my friends around me. Traveling is a passion of mine, and I hope to be able to study abroad during my time at FIT.
