STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: Transitional Period

It is that time of the year again… Toward the end of September in New York, it can be very difficult to decide what to wear. The weather is always be freezing in the morning, but then by noon you could be dying of heat. When you wake up in the morning and open up your closet, the first thing you ask yourself is: “What am I gonna wear today?”

This Fashionista ties plaid into the transitional period perfectly. In the morning, when it is chilly, this over-sized plaid shirt is left unbuttoned with a cute cropped cami shirt. That way when it starts to get hot, simply take the plaid shirt off or even tie it around your waist! Who doesn’t have at least one thing in their closet that’s plaid for the fall? Plaid is the perfect fall staple in any closet (even for the guys).

This Fashionista is also wearing ripped jeans, which complement her boots and the plaid shirt. The wash of the jeans are just perfect for tying the whole look together.

The combat boots are the perfect way to top off this outfit. They match perfectly with the plaid shirt and again, it is your fall staple. You could NEVER go wrong with boots for a fall look.

By adding any over-sized shirt (it doesn’t necessarily have to be plaid!) with a cami underneath, jeans and boots you are ready for this horrible transitional period to the fall weather. Although the weather can be bothersome, just remember that it isn’t snowing yet!
