STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: The Good, The Rad And The Bold

Anytime I think of Western attire, my mind immediately turns to old, classic Clint Eastwood movies where cowboy boots, wide-brimmed hats and leather vests thrived. Although, not every Western-inspired outfit requires one to look like they stepped right out of a cowboy movie. By incorporating a touch of Western items, one can add much-needed flair to any boring classroom ensemble.

In the most basic description of words, this Fashionista’s Western outfit is just good, in fact, almost too good for words to describe. The main attraction of her overall attire is her very bold, orange and white Aztec patterned maxi cardigan (that seriously reminds me of a western duster). The bright orange and white colors are also a perfect addition for spring weather. Underneath her sweater this Fashionista wore a plain brown T-shirt to keep the focus on the rest of the attire. By rolling the cuffs of her jeans, she put emphasis on her too-cool-for-words sandals. These sandals are a great replacement for boots in warmer spring weather, while still giving off that cool-girl vibe. The traditional addition of a belt and colorful stone buckle instantly added Western style to her ensemble. This Fashionista kept the remainder of her accessories simple with quaint silver jewelry.

Above all, this Fashionista’s Western-inspired attire is so rad from the bold sweater, to the fancy belt buckle, to the sleek sandals. As a matter of fact, I am so impressed by this apparel that I might start using Eastwood’s Western fashion in my own attire, excluding his cigar of course.
