STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: Boy Gone Girl

As Fashionistas, sometimes it’s necessary to get out there, rub some dirt in it and not be such a girl. Lately, I’ve taken an interest in boy’s clothes gone girly and the best time to take on this style is when doing a not-so-girly hobby like long boarding. Learning to longboard, I found, is hard but not any harder than creating a cute look for it. Plus, as a fellow Fashionista, you can’t be rolling by the entire campus not leaving an impression, not looking stylish. I found this week’s Fashionista leaving an impression on more than just myself.

So how does one leave an impression so quickly while wearing all men’s section clothing? My Fashionista started with a simple pair of khakis and a black shirt paired with a pair of black Supra high-top tennis shoes. Like I mentioned before, everything this Fashionista is wearing is sold as “men’s” clothing but was given a girly edge with some light makeup and a cute hairstyle. She accessorized her outfit with a classic Nike flat bill hat and the brand new Fitbit Alta. Which, by the way, if you haven’t gotten a chance to check it out it’s AMAZING and has changed my life for the best. And, of course, the style wouldn’t be complete without the accessory that started the style, a longboard that she customized herself.

What is your STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK? “My main focus is that it is important to mix your look up, and this is easily doable my adding a few of men’s garments to your wardrobe!”
