BEAUTY BAR: Red Hair, Pink Nudes Don’t Care

When it comes to fall time and hair color, usually the preference is darker in the fall (light brown to black) and lighter (highlights) in the summer. I’m all for traditional color changes to your hair, but going with bright vibrant colors for the fall is definitely a fun change to your hair. When I saw this Fashionista in my art history class I knew I had to take pictures of her.

Red is one of the hardest colors to maintain in your hair, but honestly I think the end result is well worth it. I like how this Fashionista’s natural hair color is subtly noticeable throughout the hair. She previously had light brown hair which made the red show up better than on her natural hair color. The red in her hair looks darker after a couple of washes then the red will show up afterwards. To get this color the Fashionista mixed two red colors.

Moving on to this Fashionista’s choice of lip color I would say she got the pink nude lip right! Its not the typical fall lip color like a deep red or dark wine color; but it’s a classic year round, can go with any outfit color. Finding the right pink nude lipstick that looks good on you is probably the hardest part; especially if you’re in a drugstore, since they still don’t believe in having testers.

To tie her look together she put a black crop sweater over a flowing gray top with a blue infinity scarf. Light wash jeans and over-the-knee black boots. Wearing simple colors really brings out her hair color.

What’s on the BEAUTY BAR: To get this Fashionista’s hair color you will need Garnier Olia 6.65 in light garnet red and L’Oreal Feria in violet vixen V48. Her lip color is “sin” by MAC. P.S: If you tap lightly or use lip liners the color will come out lighter or darker. If MAC lipsticks are not worth the price to you then here are a few of my favorite low priced lipsticks here and here.
