ALL IN THE DETAILS: Simple, But Effective

This Fashionista started with a simple black dress and created an outfit for work, class or brunch. The jean jacket layered over the dress added warmth against the brisk November air that added the right amount of layers without being too distracting.

The vintage Lucky Brand Jean jacket isn’t sold online anywhere nowadays; it’s straight from the men’s section of the store in the ’90s. However, the brand cultivates its denim ’90s look and features many oversized vintage jackets perfect for that soft grunge aesthetic.

Fashion is like a puzzle. Each part of the outfit translates into a puzzle piece. Without one piece, the puzzle (outfit) cannot be completed. That’s how I think of this month’s ALL IN THE DETAILS theme.

The jewelry added to the bodycon is the embodiment of the puzzle piece analogy. Without the pearl necklace and bracelet, the outfit would be rockin’, but not quite finished. Rings and earrings are too often forgotten about in the fashion industry. The first place my eyes go are the middle part of the outfit—I want to see if it all fits together. All too often do I overlook the little things that truly do bring the ensemble into a cohesive piece of art.

The turquoise of the other earring and ring set sets the tone of the denim. The simplicity of the dress and jacket combo mixed with the accessories is an everyday look for any occasion. My worst fear is being too dressed up or too underdressed for an event but with outfits like this, the details help dress you up or down however much you like!

Not to mention they fit perfectly into the fall brunch theme!
