All in the Details: Lights, Camera, Accessories!

Accessories: a thing that can be added to something else in order to make it more useful, versatile or attractive.

As you can see, accessories have a very broad and vague definition. However, I have found a Fashionista who narrowed down the meaning of accessories. Her outfit shows that accessories are pivotal pieces to outfits. For example: hats, jewelry, shoes and sunglasses can make an outfit on a scale from astonishing to only okay. It is bizarre to think that an outfit can be judged solely off of details, right?

Have you ever heard your mom say the annoying saying, “Quality not quantity?” Well, in this fashion example she would be right, once again. The details in this outfit consist of a hat, layered bracelets and booties. Those details make it a quality outfit for this fall season.

Most people have misleading thoughts about hats, especially in regards to fedoras and floppy hats. There is a general consensus that these specific hats are “summer” hats. I disagree; hats are an amazing detail to a fall outfit to give it some “pop.” In fact, this Fashionista’s green dress can be worn year round; the details are what make it appropriate for the season. Her brown, floppy hat is the detail that does just that! It is the perfect detail to give the outfit some character.

My next favorite accessory is the booties. Walking in those should give every girl confidence! They are a staple item to dress up your outfit enough for people to notice. Come on, nobody wants to be “plain Jane” every day! Even though these are a bit daring, they keep the outfit casual enough to accomplish daily duties. That is what makes them great.

Lastly, her layered bracelets, a simple detail, make her look very sophisticated. Gold is a particularly great color to choose to wear in the fall.

How To: To pull this fall outfit together I suggest buying a brick red, cognac or beige lipstick color. This will add even more sophistication and detail. Secondly, stick to felt floppy hats and not straw hats. It is more appropriate for the season. Lastly, be daring! Wear out those booties that pull you out of your comfort zone. Strut in those like you own the streets. It is safe for me to say this Fashionista is ready to hit the lights and camera because her accessories are poppin’!
