As I mentioned in my previous post, I absolutely love jewelry and am always searching for a new stone to hang from my neck or bangle to dangle from my wrist. This Fashionista has found a way to take a love for accessories to a whole new level, and has adorned her entire torso with gold body chain that is fresh, fun and on the top of my “must buy” shopping list!
What I love about this look is that it is simple and still chic, all while being quite effortless. Sometimes when I wear dresses, I worry that a dress sans any sort of embellishment will not be enough to establish itself as a piece of clothing I can go to class in versus a piece of clothing I can wear when I go out with friends. The body chain alleviates my worries and does just that! The gold is a bright, perky contrast to the black dress that this Fashionista is wearing and also hangs low enough off her body to draw attention to the halter style of the top of the dress without taking away from it. The chain dresses up what could be considered a somewhat casual outfit, allowing this Fashionista to look cool and put together, even when campuses in New York are reaching 90 degrees!
Because the chain itself is such a bold statement, the rest of this Fashionista’s outfit is quite minimalist. On her wrist is a simple gold bracelet, and on her feet, is a pair of black sandals with metallic detailing that both complements the glimmering portion of the outfit while balancing it out. Both the dress and the chain are light and move freely with the Fashionista.
