With the cold winter weather among us, it can get tricky to try to stay warm while keeping up with the latest styles. One way to accomplish this look is by layering trendy pieces together. It’s all about the details, and color coordinating correctly so there is not a lot going on in the outfit where it becomes overwhelming. This Fashionisto knows know to do so with his layered winter look that can be worn to class, hanging out with friends on campus, or out and about on an adventure downtown.
His layers begin with a gray long sleeved shirt as a base. The next layer he is wearing is a red, black and white flannel to stay warm when outside. To complete the layering, he wears a super warm and cozy olive workwear jacket. It is lined with flannel so it will keep you warm in freezing temperatures. No matter where you live, this is a great look to wear in the winter months. The best part about it is if you get warm, simply take a layer off!
To bring out the black in the flannel, he wears a pair of black ripped jeans that have holes in the knees. To complete the look, a pair of all black Vans are worn for the finishing touch to bring the look together. This is an easy way to show how to color coordinate an outfit while having little pops of color, yet not making it overwhelming with too many colors and/or details going on. Once you have mastered this look, you can recreate it with different color flannels and jeans to have some stylish outfits for the rest of the semester!
