WHAT TO WEAR: Weekend Wear

Having an extra class on Saturdays is not exactly my favorite thing about this semester. Especially because it is a 10:00 a.m. Linguistics class, and on Fridays I have my last class at 9:00 p.m. On the other hand, it has been interesting seeing the sartorial choices my classmates—and people around campus in general—take on Saturdays; some really don’t bother at all. Some go straight from the bed to the classroom, and some look like they are trying to hard and appear to go from the classroom straight to the club. To this, you can add the fact that the semester is almost over and the end of the year is close. We all need a break, even though I always do my best to look presentable. Dressing up really puts you in a better mood to face the day—even when you are in a classroom full of half asleep students when you would rather be having breakfast in bed.

I spotted this Fashionisto on the campus grounds and thought his outfit was a stylish definition of “Saturday morning class.” Choosing what to wear for this has to be a no-brainer: simple and comfortable. Now, I know, I know, he is wearing sneakers and joggers; but, the basic colors (burgundy, red, gray and white) and the way the clothes fit make this otherwise super casual outfit look more polished. The minimalistic, yet interesting looking, accessories complete the stylish look. He is wearing a patterned cap, a really cool Kipling metallic backpack and black Ray-Ban Wayfarer sunglasses to cover any trace of sleep depravation.

One Simple Change: By the end of the semester, Saturday is probably the only day left to run errands. Change the backpack to a sleek messenger bag and add a bomber jacket to finish the look.
