WHAT TO WEAR: Weekend Wear

One of the many wonderful things about the summer is how the days all seem to blend into one another and one can get lost in the beautiful sunshine and positive energy! Every now and then, I always lose my bearings on what day of the week it is, but I have never not been sure when it was the weekend. Whether that’s because I’ve been trained since Kindergarten that the weekend is two beautiful days when almost everyone is free from stress.

On the weekend that I photographed this beautiful Fashionista, I was at the Ann Arbor Summer Festival and the energy was absolutely buzzing. Ann Arbor was alive and well! Because there are so many possibilities with things one can do on the weekend, one must always dress in an outfit that could fit whatever spontaneous activity or event you come across. This Fashionista (and her adorable tiny black pug) did just that!

With an impeccable taste in day dresses and army green vests, this Fashionista absolutely rocks the perfect outfit for the weekend. Day dresses are the perfect weekend wear because they can be both casual and a little fancier. In my personal opinion, I would say to do what this Fashionista did by pairing a day dress with a vest that allows her to dress her outfit down or up depending on the occasion. This Fashionista’s choice of jewelry with colors that correspond nicely with those in the rest of her outfit help give the look a larger range of events it could be worn to. I absolutely fell in love with her minimalist bracelets.

While I might be biased in saying day dresses are the perfect weekend wear because I would wear dresses every day if I could (seriously), one cannot deny the simple beauty of this Fashionista and her fashion choices.

One Simple Change: While this outfit is great for the endless possibilities of a weekend, it would also be the perfect outfit to wear when meeting the parents of your special someone with a simple swap! If you switch this Fashionista’s more causal shoes with a classic nude heel, it would give your look that little touch of chic that shows you value this first encounter as important.
