WHAT TO WEAR: Weekend Wear

I love Thursday. Thursday is the day that motivates me to get through all of the other days of the week. This is because Thursday is the day that my weekend begins. It’s my last day of class for the week, and I also don’t have to work immediately after I leave campus. Do you know what that means? I can do whatever I want. I could go out with friends, spend time with my family or be productive and clean my room catch up on Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. Honestly, the possibilities are endless. Weekends can be unpredictable, laid back or packed with plans. I always try my best to be prepared and wear an outfit that I know is presentable yet casual so that I’m ready for whatever the weekend may bring. This way if I have dinner plans with my family but I’m going out downtown with friends afterwards, I don’t have to worry about the hassle of a wardrobe change.

This Fashionisto found the perfect balance of dressing for both comfort and style. He created a simple base consisting of basic pieces everyone has in their wardrobe; a plaid shirt, a V-neck shirt and dark jeans. Like I’ve said before, my go-to pieces are always the simplest because they’re versatile; I can dress them up or down depending on my accessories. This Fashionisto added a few details to his look with a watch and a cool pair of shoes. In my opinion, a nice watch that fits your personal style is an essential piece of jewelry everyone should own. It can easily pull together any look by adding a bit of professionalism and class.

One Simple Change: If you’re heading out for date night after class and want to dress up this look, switch out the plaid shirt for a blazer or vest.
