WHAT TO WEAR: Weekend Wear

What are the three most anticipated days of the week? Friday, Saturday and Sunday (or better known as the weekend!) These two days and a half are a time to relax and clear your mind from a hectic week of summer classes or an intense work schedule.

Scenario: you’re spending the whole day out with your best friends. You guys plan on going to brunch, bike riding along the beach, hitting the sand to watch the sunset and finally end the night with a trendy dinner at the new taco place in town. First thing that comes to mind is, “I am not going to be home all day. I need an outfit that will last me throughout all of these fun events.”

First, you need clothes that are comfortable, yet heat appropriate. Shorts and a T-shirt are the easiest things to thrown on. It is super trendy and incredibly comfortable; it is a summer staple. However, you’re going to be on the beach in the late afternoon and you know how breezy it gets. So, you tie a button-up shirt around your waist. This is functional and totally in-style: it’s a win-win. Next step is footwear. For a long day of walking, throw on your comfortable workout shoes. Sneakers are the perfect year-round shoe that are practical. They add a little “athletic flare” to causal outfits. A purse is a girl’s holy grail accessory, especially during a long day. It will hold your wallet, make up and any other essentials you need to conquer the day. A cross-body bag is the best choice for a day like this where you will be active. Add on your favorite bracelets and you’re ready to take on the day!

One Simple Change: Delaying dinner for a bit for some sunset yoga on the beach (yes please.) But first, switch out those shorts for some black workout pants and you’ll be ready for some exercise. Namaste.
