WHAT TO WEAR: Traveling

June 7th, 2016 at 2:00am

Hello again fellow Fashionistas/os, I am reporting back in from Hong Kong where the sun has not stopped shining. While struggling in sweltering heat, I have noticed the more mature population appears immune to the humidity as they dress in long sleeves and long jeans. However, the younger population and I prefer to stick with loose, lightweight and sometimes revealing options. Although Hong Kong is on the other side of the world, the international city keeps up with the current fashion trends, especially among the college-aged community. Today I’m featuring my Fashionisto, my guy, who is studying public health here in HK and who has graciously allowed me to blog about his summer style.

Ready to explore, this Fashionisto sports a bold, bright orange T-shirt with a tropical print pocket detail from Hollister Co.. For bottoms, this Fashionisto chose a pair of crisp white chino shorts from Giordano (a popular Hong Kong-based international retailer). This Fashionisto also wisely wore a pair of comfortable Old Skool Vans ideal for a full day out and about the streets of Hong Kong. To accessorize, this Fashionisto grabbed a drawstring bag (#represent #gobigred) to carry essentials (water bottles to stay hydrated!) and a braided leather wristband from Hollister Co. to top off the summer look.

One Simple Change: When the sun goes down but the night is just beginning, all this look needs is a little upgrade. Switch out the T-shirt for a more formal navy blue button-down, roll up the sleeves to keep the heat at bay and transform the look from day to night. Now you’re ready to hit the streets of Lan Kwai Fong!
