WHAT TO WEAR: Thanksgiving Dinner

Happy (almost) Thanksgiving! I can’t believe the holiday season is finally upon us. I know I am not alone when saying that this is my favorite time of the year. However, it is a little crazy that next week is already Thanksgiving! Crazy how time flies, isn’t it? With that being said, here are a few things that I am thankful for: my friends and family (of course), fall in the Midwest, sweater weather, mashed potatoes and the fact that it is now (kind of) socially acceptable to start playing Christmas music. ’Tis the season for the Michael Bublé Christmas album to be on repeat! But first, we need to celebrate the wonderful American tradition that is Thanksgiving.

What to wear for Thanksgiving dinner is always a bit of a struggle for me. I like to dress up a little in celebration, but at the same time I want something comfortable enough to allow me to eat all the food my heart desires. So, I am always left in a predicament as how to combine style and comfort. This Fashionista showed off her Thanksgiving style with a cute (and trendy!) button-up skirt. She paired it with the perfect fall-toned sweater that you don’t need to tuck in—why go through all that hassle when you don’t need to? She also threw on the perfect transition-weather outerwear: a coat sweater! Or is it a sweater coat? Either way, it is perfect for this time of year where it is starting to get chilly, but still not cold enough to bust out the parka. Last, but certainly not least, she finished off her ensemble with some easy black tights and super cute wedge booties. Wedge booties are the best because not only are they cute, but they add a little height without causing toe-numbing pain.

Hope you find this useful while planning your perfect Thanksgiving outfit! I hope everyone has an amazing Thanksgiving and eats all of the turkey they want, unless you’re a vegetarian like me, who will be consuming mountains of the aforementioned mashed potatoes.
