WHAT TO WEAR: Sunday Study Date

If there’s one thing college students across the country can agree on, it’s that Sundays are for studying. Although the workweek’s stress is elevated by weekend fun, soon enough we’re forced to come back to reality and devote our Sunday hours to productivity.

Whenever I’m faced with the fact that I’ll be spending lengths of time studying, I always opt for whatever is most comfortable. However, I often struggle with finding an outfit that’s not only comfort but also chic. That’s why I was eager to capture this Fashionista who solved my riddle and proved you can rock an ensemble that’s comfy and polished.

The key to her look is layering. Leggings and a soft T-shirt are two things many reach for in desperate need of comfort. However, this Fashionista layers her T-shirt with an oversized flannel, adding warmth and subtle ’90s vibes. Additionally, to add a bit more to her look she layers two long necklaces that hold the power of turning an ordinary outfit into one that’s more polished.

When it comes to shoes, it’s tempting to step out in slippers, until you realize that’s not the most reasonable option, especially as the weather turns frigid. This Fashionista opted for classic Dr. Martens which not only lend to the ensemble’s ’90s aesthetic but also tend to be a good neutral option to any outfit.

If there’s anything I’ve learned when it comes to studying, comfort is key, but being polished is always something I strive for. Let it be known, however, that you can get away with comfy staples while still looking chic.
