When I say the word summer, what do you think of? I think of sandals, skirts and of course shorts! For a lot of people when summer finally rolls around, it’s a time to show off a little skin. Why not? If you are from Illinois like me, you have probably been waiting for summer to start so you can ditch those coats, scarves and boots. To a Fashionista or Fashionisto, summer is all about having fun with with bright colors, fun prints and breathable fabrics.
This Fashionista stood out as soon as I walked past. Her outfit embodies a unique flair along with an easy-to-wear vibe. She pairs a printed three-quarter length shirt with jean shorts. Her shorts scream summer as you can never go wrong with a good pair. Her belt had so much flair with awesome bottle caps glued on top. How cool is that?
But wait, those adorable white socks with lace on top adds even more glamour. Finish the outfit off with a cute brown bag and matching brown flats to tie the color scheme together. Brown is a perfect color for the season because its neutral and doesn’t attract the sun like black.
One Simple Change: If you want to make this outfit go from daytime to date night ready all you need are a few changes. Swap the jean shorts for pleated culottes. Take those socks and flats and trade them for open-toed heels. Keep the belt for the personality and you are all set to have a fun night!
