WHAT TO WEAR: Spring

With the ability to see the grass again comes winter’s surrender to warm weather. The rest of the semester will be a blur of rainstorms, school work and excitement as the summer break approaches. But it is also the time to don your favorite outfits and experiment with style before you spend summer in a work uniform.

There is something to be said for the simple things. This Fashionista’s spring outfit is unlike any other partly because of its simplicity. The understated color scheme and simple silhouettes are unique and come across as elegant and minimalistic. This white blouse has a great keyhole detail in the front and its sheer fabric varies the textures present in the outfit. The skirt’s structure and quilting contrasts against the feminine qualities of this Fashionista’s blouse. Unlike a majority of A-line flared skirts, this one is made out of a structural fabric which holds its volume nicely and in turn looks more expensive. A skirt with these characteristics would be a great investment piece in any Fashionista’s wardrobe and would be easy to layer in every season.

We can’t forget the shoes! These oxford-inspired shoes have a vintage quality about them because of their interesting pattern. The print on these shoes contrasts nicely with the monochromatic solid colors of this Fashionista’s top and skirt.

One Simple Change: Going out for a girl’s night out? Throw on a pair of heels and a cardigan for a casual-chic look; you’ll come across as elegant and you won’t look like your trying to hard.
