WHAT TO WEAR: Spring

Well Fashionistas/os, it’s that time of year when the snow starts to melt away, the days get a little longer and hemlines become a little shorter. It’s spring! This winter has been a doozy with some of the warmest temperatures on record and some sporadic blizzards here in Illinois. It has been more than difficult to dress in tune with what mother nature has in store. As the temperatures finally start to become more consistent though, it is time to break out the springtime layers and show a little leg.

This Fashionista has anchored her outfit with one of the hottest trends of this year: the button-up skirt. Hers is denim, which makes it a bit more casual than the suede version we have seen so much of, but just as cute.  She layered up on her tops, pairing a cute T-shirt representing her home town and a beautiful green turtleneck sweater to stay comfortable with the fickle spring weather. If turtleneck sweaters aren’t your thing, have no fear! This outfit can be just as stylish with a V-neck sweater or even a cardigan. For footwear, this Fashionista broke out her colorful New Balance 574 sneakers to add a little bit of athleisure to her outfit. Hair and makeup are kept fresh and simple with some neutral lipstick and a stylish half-up bun.

One Simple Change: Spring means baseball. So to take this outfit to the ballpark, simply switch out the T-shirt and sweater for your favorite jersey, and tailgate the day away while still looking stylish!
