WHAT TO WEAR: Spring

Hey fellow Fashionista/os. It is March and you know what that means: spring has sprung. Pack up your fur coats and take out those sundresses because warmth is just around the corner. Spring is perfect for walks in SoHo and picnics in Washington Square Park. If you do not go to a school in New York City, this means you can finally sit in the quad and take artsy pictures. The real question though is what to wear for that quality Instagram.

When I think of spring the first thing that comes to mind is sundresses. Sticking to typical Madison fashion, I love a basic black sundress. Black sundresses are extremely versatile. In this look, the black sundress is paired with a mid length black and camel color-blocked jacket. The black sleeves give the look as if she is wearing a camel cardigan. The shoes add to the camel and black look from the jacket. I am personally obsessed with these mule heels. Mule heels are perfect for the spring. They are the booties of winter for spring. Not only that, but these mules have a lucite strap which is predicted to be a trend for this spring.

One Simple Change:  This outfit can be quickly transformed into one for a dinner date by changing the jacket into cropped blazer or, being a little more risqué, and going jacket-less. This sundress in particular is form fitting with slits on the side. By adding a small black clutch it also makes the outfit more dressy. This look is sexy and would be perfect for any date. You can either keep the heeled mules or do a quick change into stilettos. Sundresses, especially black ones, are perfect for dressing up or dressing down.
