WHAT TO WEAR: Internship

The beginning of this fall semester means back to classes, hitting the books and for many of us, internships. With all of our class and going-out attire crowding our closet, devoting an entire portion to business casual outfits for your internship can pose a problem. Making sure you have a few versatile pieces is an easy way around this.

I stopped this Fashionista on her way to the first day at her new internship. Since her internship requires business casual attire, she is dressed in a loose, patterned H&M dress, dressed up with a chic black blazer from Urban Outfitters. Since the dress on its own is quite casual, the blazer creates a look professional enough for her internship.

She is accessorizing her sophisticated look with a fun pair of sunglasses, Dolce Vita lace-up sandals and a busy wrist displaying a variety of bracelets, including this stylish initial bangle from Alex and Ani. Her accessories, such as the Anne Klein watch, work to dress up her outfit, while the sandals and beaded bracelets keep it casual enough to head straight to her day of classes after the internship.

One Simple Change: Since this Fashionista, like many of us out there, has class directly after her internship, one way she changes her business casual look into the perfect outfit for long day of classes is by simply taking off the blazer. On a chilly fall day, she might opt for a jean jacket instead for an easy, comfortable look for class.
