WHAT TO WEAR: Greek Life

College is back in session! Juggling full-time classes, studying, working, drinking 4 cups of coffee and blog postin’ can be a hard life but, I know we all manage. On top of all that, being involved in school activities is important too! Today, we are talking all about Greek Life on campus. Sororities and Fraternities are an exciting way to get involved with your school, make friends and give back to important causes. To get a bid to a sorority, you must go through the long process of recruitment week. During this time, you meet with others that are in the sororities at your school, participate in fun activities and decide which sorority you want to pledge. Some of these days require certain outfits and specific colors, so picking the right outfit is key!

This Fashionista is fully prepared for recruitment week with her bright white and blue look! She is wearing a Lilly Pulitzer halter top, which is a staple designer for sorority life. Lilly is known for creating beautiful, bright patterned clothing items in her line. The pattern of her top shows various sea life animals. This halter is the main focus of her whole outfit.  This Fashionista is also wearing white skinny jeans, by keeping the bottoms basic draws more attention to the top. As for shoes she chose a a pair of coral wedges. The coral color in her shoes compliments the blue in her top. It is important to be very comfortable in your outfit and shoes because most of the time you will be on your feet for hours!

This Fashionista did a great job dressing for the occasion. When going through recruitment be sure you have plenty of fun pieces in your wardrobe to choose from, that incorporate bright colors. You want to make sure that you stand out from the crowd in a stylish and memorable ensemble!

Good luck to those going through this fun and exciting recruitment period. I hope this fashionista gave some inspiration to those questioning what to wear for this occasion. Remember to always stay RAD!

One Simple Change: Not going through recruitment? Don’t worry, this look is very versatile and can be changed for a Sunday brunch with your friends. Simply changing from a patterned top to a solid is an easy fix for those not wanting to experiment with pattern. Lastly, for bottoms, pairing the top with a light wash denim, works too.  For shoes, slip on a pair of nude wedges and you’ll be ready for brunch!
