WHAT TO WEAR: Graduation

Happy spring! It’s that time of year when friends are applying for jobs, classes are starting to become unbearable and the sunshine is finally out. Oh, and it’s graduation season! As the years at your school pass by, it’s strange to see your close friends begin to graduate and move on to the real world. Honestly I thought freshman year was going to last forever, but here I am as a rising senior who will soon be applying for jobs in an effort to become an adult.

Attending graduation is a major event, even if none of your close friends are graduating. Regardless of who you know walking across that stage, you want to look your best for all those post-grad photos you know will be taken by all the proud moms there.

Guys, take a few pointers from this fella. Hailing from Pittsburgh, he brought East Coast prep to Malibu. Basically, the poster child for Chubbies and/or Vineyard Vines, he always dons some sort of printed short or bright colored pair of pants.

He was dressed perfectly for the graduation ceremony that takes place on the massive green park overlooking the Pacific Ocean. He rocked a light pink polo with Sperry Top-Sider boat shoes. This combination is preppy enough to go and support his friends at the ceremony, but also casual enough to fit the southern California vibe. The printed shorts were perfect, especially since they promote a favorite past time of many Malibu residents. Find a pair of fun shorts to make a statement at the next graduation ceremony you attend. His power move statement watch was the final piece to complete his outfit.

One Simple Change:  Not feeling the printed shorts? Opt for a pair of colored pants with a cool texture to make a subtle, yet stylish statement. Then you are ready to celebrate graduation in style!
