WHAT TO WEAR: Girl’s Night Out

Whether your workweek has run you down or your boyfriend is hitting that last nerve, every Fashionista deserves a girl’s night out. A girl’s night out is a form of release, a release of aggression or built up stress, gossip, that funny story you’ve been waiting to tell and those dance moves you haven’t busted out in a while. It is a night always filled with bellyaching laughter, possibly some crying and ends typically with a large Domino’s pizza and cinnamon sticks. Not only is fun on the agenda for a girl’s night out, so is fashion. All week long you have been stuck wearing your boring internship outfits and grandma flats. A girl’s night out is the perfect time to break in those new pumps and dress you bought. You work hard; you deserve a break. Go ahead and splurge one night. Spend some of that hard-earned money on something that will last forever: memories.

This week’s Fashionista is head to toe perfection in a girl’s night out get up. What I love most about this look is that she made a simple monochromatic outfit pop with excitement, color and pattern. On top, she wears a classic plunging V-neck crop top. On the bottom, the black is broken up with white vertical stripes in these adorable flowy shorts from H&M. On her burgundy polished feet, she wears the perfect pair of low strappy black heels from Aldo—stylish yet comfortable. The accessories are where the outfit changes dynamic. Her neck is adorned with a beautiful blue rope statement necklace, with golf pieces segmented throughout. Her bracelets pick up the gold accent brought in by the blue necklace, and her bag is a stunning mustard clutch with a white snakeskin fold over flap. Is everyone in love yet? Thought so.

Girl’s night out was created for the sole purpose to take a break from life while pushing the boundaries of fashion at the same time. Next time, don’t plan girl’s night around watching Netflix series and binge eating. Go out and enjoy the world! Meet new people and show off that ensemble you’ve had stuffed in the back of your closet for weeks. As much as you need your girls, you also need a confidence boost. Getting compliments on a killer outfit will certainly take your week from zero to 100 real quick.

One Simple Change: Swap out the heels for a gold sandal, and you have the perfect look for an outdoor concert!
