WHAT TO WEAR: Girl's Night Out

After an amazing six months in Europe, I made my way back to Oxford, Mississippi, to pick up some classes for the month of June and spend some time with the girls. I hadn’t seen any of my best friends from school since December, so I figured a girl’s night out post was certainly fitting!

The key to girl’s night out is finding the perfect mix between something dinner-appropriate yet fun and flirty for when you’re out on the town later. This outfit covers all of the bases. This Fashionista is seen here wearing a jumpsuit from the Saks Fifth Avenue line, RED paired it with my favorite Pedro Garcia wedges. This outfit combines the perfect amount of sophistication and sexy. It isn’t overly revealing, but it has a low neckline and the waistline is incredibly slimming. I love this piece because after studying in the food capital of the world recently with a daily diet of baguettes, I picked up a couple extra pounds. This style of jumpsuit fits loosely around the thighs and belly, which are areas many of us struggle to keep in tip-top shape all the time (especially during college). It’s a great alternative to something super tight that still makes you turn heads.

When wearing a jumpsuit, you already have a lot going on on top and bottom, so it’s important not to over accessorize. This Fashionista chose this black Tory Burch clutch with a gold emblem for a bit of a metallic pop and paired it with a bangle from Forever 21. This outfit is a perfect example of how to mix bargain finds with investment pieces to make for the perfect girl’s night out ensemble. It also exemplifies how the accessories can make a simple outfit so versatile.

One Simple Change: To change up this outfit for a more casual look, switch out the wedges for some cute sandals and swap the Tory Burch with a Louis Speedy bag or another tote. You’ll be all set for a lunch date or a day of shopping with the girls over the weekend!
