WHAT TO WEAR: Girl’s Night Out

We did it! With exams passed with what I hope were flying colors for all of you, it’s time to celebrate! Countless hours spent in the library, drowning in textbooks and notes, can only lead to one thing: a girl’s night out. Grab your closest gal pals and head out to let loose and enjoy a night of fun. You’ve earned it!

Let this Fashionista help you get started with an easy, charming look, suitable for dinner, dancing or any other shenanigans you may find yourself in on your girl’s night out. She pairs a black tank with a sherbet-colored skirt for a divine combination of sexy and sweet. Rather than balance in sky-high stilettos, she picked a pair of seasonally appropriate shoes, with just enough height and open toes for cool air and comfort. Perhaps my favorite part of this look is the cuff. Ditching the typical bracelet, this accessory stands out from the crowd and gives a more creative approach to styling. After this statement piece, she merely adds a couple of dainty rings for minimal flair.

The darker red-orange lip accents the skirt, while still offering enough of a contrast. The rest of her makeup is kept simple. While most girls typically leave their hair down for a night out, this Fashionista chose an alternative route with a loose, low ponytail. Prepared for the summer heat, she’ll be able to keep cool with it tied back, but also maintain a soft look with pieces of her long layers pulled to the front. She tops off her look with lavender nails, a sweet surprise in the details. Happy summer to all – keep styling on Fashionistas!

One Simple Change: A college student’s schedule changes from minute to minute. If you have a last-minute meeting or a late final before your celebratory night out, throw on a fitted, black blazer and then shed that layer as soon as you hit the town!
