WHAT TO WEAR: Finals

It’s that dreaded time of year again: finals. The one test that is usually the biggest percentage of your grade, and in some cases, can make you or break you. After sleepless caffeinated nights of studying, you will feel like just throwing on the first thing you see by the time test day rolls around. One of my mottos is “if you dress well, you test well,” but that doesn’t mean you can’t be cute and comfortable.

This Fashionista is cute, comfortable and slaying in an all-black outfit. There’s just something about wearing all-black that says “I’m going to conquer today and nobody is going to stand in my way,” and that’s exactly the attitude you should have about finals. A solid black top paired with black skinny jeans may sound plain and boring, but not when it’s paired with a fuzzy cardigan, which is exactly what this Fashionista did to complete her look. Her black Vans slip-ons and Ray-Ban Clubmasters top it off perfectly. Florida is sunny even in the cooler months. Not only does she rock this outfit, but she rocks the gray hair trend too, another reason why she’s the perfect candidate to be featured.

Not only is this outfit great for the season, but it’s great for the classroom too. I don’t know about you, but I have classrooms that are warm one day and freezing the next. Sometimes, it will be humid outside and chilly in the classroom. One of the last things you want to do is bomb a final because you were too hot or too cold. If it’s feeling a little too warm for your taste, you can just take the cardigan off. If you want to leave it off, you can always tie it around your waist, another trending style. Another plus about this outfit is that you can sit and stretch your legs however you like, something you may not be able to do as easily in a skirt or a dress. It can be hard to stay in one position during long exams and it’s good to change positions every once in a while.

One Simple Change: Black goes with pretty much anything, swap the black T-shirt for one of your school’s colors or any of your favorite school shirts and you’re ready to tailgate!
