WHAT TO WEAR: Date Night Casual

With Valentine’s Day tucked away and done with, romance still lingers in the air. While date nights, especially V-Day, tend to be more formal and dressy, this Fashionisto adds a touch of casualness to his outfit.

As we near the end of this cold and rainy season, Seattle transitions into a warmer, yet windier, phase. But he’s ready for a chilly night out, layering his button-up with a lightweight Members Only racer jacket. While his is grey, you can always wear a different colored bomber to really show off your wardrobe. And of course, the skinny tie ties the whole formal look together (pun intended). But if you want to dress it down, go without the tie and just wear a patterned button-up instead. It works just as well and adds a pop of your own personality.

Onto the next piece, the watch. Watches are a stylish accessory that can be personalized for anyone. For a formal outfit, the silver detailing works perfectly. But to be honest, the straps are what make it easy to style. I have a rose gold watch with a black leather strap that matches any outfit, my friend has a brown leather watch that matches his vintage looks, whereas this Fashionisto’s watch has that sleekness for a classy appearance.

Working our way down his outfit, the Sperry Top-Sider boat shoes have to be featured. I would define them as the ultimate casual dress shoe, working both ways! The leather material creates that formal vibe, but the laces give it that other personality. They’re a classic that I feel like never run out of fashion.

Just because Valentine’s Day is over doesn’t mean that date nights are too! If you do decide to spend the night out, here’s a perfect example of a casual date night outfit that you can definitely and easily alter to your own style.
