WHAT TO WEAR: Concert

August 19th, 2016 at 2:00am

Summer is without a doubt the best time of year for concert-going. So many more outdoor venues open up, giving you the perfect opportunity to dress to impress without having to worry about sweating your whole face off.

This Fashionista is ready for a rock concert with her platform booties and leather jacket adding a grunge feel to the playful lace top and denim shorts. Lace is great for concert-going because the fabric is so light that a breeze is able to flow through, keeping you (somewhat) cool. An option like this will keep you looking and feeling great all night. The Tobi crop top underneath adds a certain amount of sexy-ness to the sheer top, and if you’re feeling bold (and hot) enough, you could even ditch the lace top, pairing the crop top with the denim shorts and immediately channeling your inner Kendall Jenner. It’s always a good idea to bring a jacket for when the sun goes down, and no one ever went wrong with leather. This Fashionista’s jacket was a lucky thrift shop find, but this H&M one could be its twin. Perfect for a rock show, it adds a little edge to any outfit. To ensure a great view of the band without the sun getting in the way, sunnies are a must. Even if the show is indoors, a rock concert is one of those places where you can actually get away with wearing sunglasses inside, especially if they have some fun leopard print trim or cool reflective lenses like these. As for hair, it’s best to go with a natural look because, let’s be honest, if you spend an hour curling your hair, humidity or bad weather will most likely ruin it. This Fashionista shows off her natural curls and piles half of her hair up into a top bun for an effortless look. She tops off her face with a subtle smokey eye and is ready to rock out with Cage the Elephant.

One Simple Change: Swapping out the denim shorts for a black skirt to tuck the top into would make this into a great date night look—perfect for a hip restaurant or an evening stroll downtown with your man/woman.
