WHAT TO WEAR: Concert

April 24th, 2015 at 2:00am

There are just three more weeks until school is out, which means three more weeks until we’re done with study groups and late nights in the library, and three more weeks until we are finally set free to enjoy summer break! This is such an exciting but extremely stressful time in the year. We’re all starting to experience a bit of spring fever, and it’s getting a little hard to stay focused. Most people think if you just lock yourself in the library for the rest of the year, you’ll manage to ace all of your finals and keep your sanity, but I beg to differ. I think this is a time where students need to find balance. It’s important to be able to manage your time and set your study schedules in advance, but it’s necessary to take a break and relax, too. Going to a concert is a huge stress reliever and is something you can look forward to!

This Fashionista is rocking the perfect concert outfit. She’s got a grunge, rocker-chic look going on, which would work at just about any show. I’m a huge fan of distressed denim and light-washed jeans, so these are absolutely perfect. She pairs them with a classic charcoal gray short sleeve shirt, and she adds some fun details with her layered necklaces, round sunnies and a floral hat. Hats are my personal favorite accessory because they can be added to just about any outfit. They add a great pop of color and can also hide an off hair day if need be. Her all-black Converse are also a nice change from the typical all-white Converse you usually see at concerts. The all-black shoes will also come in handy at concerts because it won’t be so obvious if you get them dirty.

Follow in the footsteps of this Fashionista and not only will you be looking great at your concert, but you’ll be feeling less stressed during hectic finals week!

One Simple Change: Going to a concert outside in the summer? Opt for a great pair of denim shorts instead, and show off your rocking tan. Fanny packs are also a great thing to invest in for summer festivals!
