WHAT TO WEAR: Cold Weather

Winter is clearly among us Fashionistas/os! Every inch and acre is covered in snow and it seems as if it will be around for a while longer. Even though the number on the thermometer is dropping, that does not mean your style should. We should remove the coats off the hangers and take advantage of the opportunity of the season. Donning those jackets and other cold weather attire not only keeps you warm, but fashionable, too.

With coats comes certain fashion trends from fall that can work in the winter. I found this Fashionista walking out from her class and saw the warmest winter trend—a fur coat. Fur coats in the winter allow anyone to get away with wearing a long sleeved crop top and high-waisted skirt, as this Fashionista proves. She wears tights and knee-high knit socks; these a great and stylish way to stay warm. Her weatherproof traction heels give it that extra height that makes the fur coat really work. The overall look is perfect and ideal for what the weather could possibly bring. Dark layers and wool are a Fashionista/o’s best friend for the next couple months.

If you follow this Fashionista’s move of wearing a heavy fur coat, the layers underneath wont have to be so thick since the coat has you covered! Not only will you make heads turn on campus, but the trend of fur coats can be adapted to your wardrobe and style.

One Simple Change: Wondering how you can go for a girl’s night out without ditching the fur coat? Switch into a little black dress and trade the booties for some knee-high boots to rock the night with your friends.
