WHAT TO WEAR: Class

We are quickly approaching finals week, which means to brace yourself for the onslaught of pending final projects due in less than two weeks. If you are an art student, you know exactly what I mean. From this week on, you put less thought into your outfits because your mind is constantly whirring with ideas for your projects. Well, fret not as I have an easy solution for all you busy bees.

Today’s Fashionisto is dressed in the most effortlessly stylish manner for a day filled with classes. This is a classic example of basic pieces put to good use. His wardrobe consists of investment pieces that he knows will last him through the test of time. One can never go wrong with a cozy solid color sweater, particularly in San Francisco. When paired with proper trousers that you can either dress up or down, it makes for a good base for accessorizing and layering.

The lining of his jacket adds a pop of color that accentuates the warm tones of his scarfs. This is a great tip to keep in mind when dressing in neutral colors. Opt for an outerwear with a bright colored lining to freshen up an otherwise dull look. This Fashionisto’s brown oxfords break apart from the grayish tones of his outfit, transitioning it from winter to spring. Notice how his entire outfit does not have any repeating colors? He is a fine example of color coordinating without sticking to the usual monochromatic scheme.

One Simple Change: Throw on a well-fitted blazer for an interview. Keep in mind that your trousers have to well-tailored in order to make a great first impression!
