WHAT TO WEAR: Class

The library is beginning to fill up with students and what once was a class full of well-dressed students, has now become an eclectic mix of outfits ranging from designer brands to sweats. I mean let’s be honest, we don’t all have the motivation to put together a city-chic ensemble at 8:00 a.m while we struggle to get dressed in the dark in fear of waking up roommates.

I spotted this dapper Fashionisto on my way to class this past week. He provides us with an exemplary look of pairing denim on denim, which can be challenging at times. Personally, I have never had the guts to try out this trend; however I’ve always admired when people can pull it off correctly. This Fashionisto executes it perfectly with mixing two different washes of denim together.

He starts the look off with a medium wash, denim shirt and adds a darker wash, pair of jeans to the mix. He fastens a belt to his waist to prevent the two denims from streamlining together. The belt gives that essential break to allow the two hues of denim to collaborate. The belt also complements the Fashionisto’s shoes. He throws on a pair of shades with silver hardware, which matches the belt. As the weather here in the city has been getting progressively chillier, he throws on an orange coat and completes this look with some two-toned oxfords.

One Simple Change: Having a full day of classes and not to mention internships can really put pressure on creating an outfit that can transition from academics to a professional setting. Heading to the office after morning classes can be easy an quick. Switch out the coat for a suede blazer in a lighter tone.  A suede blazer and dark denim combination is the ultimate business casual look.
