WHAT TO WEAR: Class

Happy March, Fashionistas/os! Believe it or not we are almost halfway through the spring semester. Where does time go, honestly? With Spring Break right around the corner and the spring weather starting to slowly creep into our lives, we can recognize the hope in the eyes of all of our fellow classmates. The days are starting to feel longer giving us a little more time to write that paper the night before that we just happened to put on the back burner and forgot about. Don’t even try to tell me that has never happened to you.

This Fashionisto was on his way to class when I spotted him walking the streets of campus. Because it was a day that was too cool to just wear a button-down shirt he decided that layering was the best way to go. He started off his outfit with a denim button-down shirt, which uniquely had checkered detailing on the collar and cuffs. This gave the outfit a little pizazz, this detailing is like the statement accessory for this Fashionisto. To keep warm enough on the walk to class he threw on a gray sweater vest. The vest gave him enough of an extra layer to keep him warm rather than a long sleeve sweater or jacket that would have been just a little too much. To keep the outfit from being too monochromatic he threw on a pair of classic khaki pants which gave the outfit a bit more of a dressed up vibe. His white polo kicks added just the right amount of preppy to his outfit along with the checkered blue shoelaces creating a nice combination with the shirt.

So with spring rising to rescue us from the winter blues remember these two lovely sayings, “look good, feel good” and “treat yo’self.” Go ahead and splurge on that must-have piece that you are longing to be looking at in your closet instead of on the screen of your computer.

One Simple Change: Going to run errands after class? No worries. To make the outfit a little less dressed up go ahead a take the sweater vest off, it’s probably warm enough by mid-afternoon anyway! Now your still looking fashionable, but a little more casual.
