WHAT TO WEAR: Brunch

Ah, brunch…Arguably every millennial girl’s favorite meal. Long awaited are the Sundays where you meet up with your girls in a cute little café or a fancy bar to discuss every single detail of the events that unfolded on your previous Saturday night. How can you just not love brunch? If Carrie, Samantha, Miranda and Charlotte started it, it is only our responsibility as the new generation of women to continue this sacred ritual. And trust me when I say that I’m a strong supporter of this.

Now besides picking out the perfect brunch spot (if you don’t already have your usual place) and figuring out what to devour (if you don’t already have your usual order), the biggest problem that we are always faced with is what to wear. Do we keep it casual and just wear jeans, homeless and literally go in sweatpants (okay, no, can we please not?), cute and wear a comfy dress or “I feel good about myself” and just rock the season’s hottest trend? Frankly, I don’t think any of us will ever manage to completely master the ideal brunch look. Oh well.

Luckily, this Fashionista’s got the perfect toned-down, yet “I’m so fancy” look that anyone can wear for brunch at a casual bar early on a Sunday afternoon. She’s wearing a pair of burgundy skinny pants, a simple black shirt with lace details and a pair of gorgeous black wedge-heel booties. For accessories, she kept it minimal by only adding a simple beautiful heart-shaped silver necklace. If this isn’t the most-appropriate brunch outfit that screams trendy, casual and yet effortlessly glam, then I don’t know what is. Take notes girls, take notes.

One Simple Change: If you’re headed to a girl’s night out after brunch, now that spring is right on its dawn, simply switch the pants for a cute leather skirt and add a light jacket. Voila!
