WHAT TO WEAR: Brunch

The most important meal of the day for most people is said to be breakfast. This is true of all people except college students. For us, the most important meal is brunch because it means waking up late and eating pancakes at 1:00 p.m. There is absolutely nothing about our schedules that even resembles regularity and meal times are no exception.

One of the best ways to look alive right after you wake up in the middle of the day is to put together a killer outfit to trick everyone into thinking you have your life together. The trick here is to find something that looks dressier than in feels. This Fashionista used unique pieces and classic colors to create a look that radiates elegance, the perfect look for a brunch with family, friends or employers.

She chose a black polka-dot, mesh maxi skirt paired with a simple white knit top. She added a cozy gray cardigan, perfect for chilly Pacific Northwest afternoons. Her accessories are simple and include black strappy sandals and an understated gold bracelet with two black rhinestones. This look is comfy and casual enough for a busy morning (or afternoon, who are we kidding) while still being classy and stylish.

One Simple Change: Ready to spend the night out on the town with your girls after a tame brunch with the family? Swap the sandals for a pair of black pumps, and ditch the cardigan altogether. Add a statement necklace and a sleek clutch to hold your ID and you’re golden.
