WHAT TO WEAR: Back To School

August 17th, 2016 at 2:00am

As the summer comes to an end, our minds are on one thing, going back to school. For incoming freshman they are entering a whole new world, but most students are returning to their home away from home. Moving into a new dorm or apartment is a whole chore on its own. Trying to pack absolutely everything you live with into a minivan is near to impossible. As stressful as a move in a day may seem, it is a fun bonding experience with your new roommate(s) for the upcoming year, and I’m here to give you advice on how to do it in style.

Moving in can be a workout, so you need to make sure you wear clothes that are comfortable enough to walk up four flights of stairs in, if need be. On another note, you will be meeting a bunch of new girls who you will be living around for the next year, so you want to make a good first impression. You can never go wrong with jean shorts, they are perfect for almost any occasion. They can be paired with absolutely anything, but are comfortable enough to wear the whole car ride to school. It’s never too early in the school year to show your school spirit, so a nice tank—because it will get hot—with your school name and logo on it will be a perfect statement for move-in day, just like this Fashionista is wearing.

Shoes are one of the most important things on this day. You need cute, but extremely comfortable shoes for a day like move-in day. All of the stairs and hallways you walk on this first day are not kind to your feet if you have on the wrong pair of shoes. A cute pair of Converse is perfect for this occasion. This Fashionista had the right mind set when picking out her shoes for moving in. To add to the outfit, she added a hat with her school logo on it to keep the sun out of her eyes and a cute leather bracelet. This Fashionista looks ready to take on the school year in style!

One Simple Change: Once you are done moving in, you will have worked up an appetite and be ready to go get brunch. For this outfit, one simple change would be to take off the hat and T-shirt, then throw on a cute flowy tank and head out to a local cafe before you say your goodbyes to your family!
