WHAT TO WEAR: Back to School

September is here; classes have begun and so has fall! Goodbye to the 80 degree weather, and hello to the breeze and colorful leaves. Here at Penn State University embracing the seasonal transition can be difficult. See, Penn State nestles near the base of Mount Nittany causing our break in the weather to be unpredictable.

Fortunately, the weather adjustment is no match for this trendy Fashionista. Taking advantage of the sun near Old Main, she strutted about in distressed jean shorts and a casual white H&M V-neck. The white V-neck and jean shorts are two summer must-haves that might not seem fashionable at all, but the essence of this outfit is all in the black fringe leather jacket. This choice of outerwear gives the outfit a boho-chic appearance. She updated her outfit from last season (summer vibes) and transformed it into a modernized look. As if the jacket wasn’t attentive enough, her sleek oversized black leather clutch by Kenzo gives bystanders some eye-candy while complementing her black Christina cutout boots. I don’t know about you guys, but clearly New York isn’t the only place celebrating fashion week. This stylish individual showed us that a reworked design improves a classic outfit.

So with that being said, remember it’s not what you wear but how you wear it. Sometimes all an outfit needs are accessories to give it a personal and unique sense of style.

One Simple Change: Have you been in your class all day and want to go out with friends later that night? To give it a more day-to-night look, lose the boots add heels and pair them with high-waisted white jeans. This will allow you to go from student to bachelorette in know time (if you’re interested of course).
