Sharing our voices, opinions, and thoughts has been more important and powerful than ever. And it seems as if fashion is following suit.
Logos from A to Z were written all over last year. We saw the craze with the Calvin Klein campaign ruling social media and Gucci belts become a staple item on our favorite bloggers. Last year was all about the brand name; this year it’ll be about what the brand has to say.
This predicted trend made me think about the effect it will have on the fashion community, and, looking beyond that, for the community as a whole. For one, as an interactive medium, words on clothing can create conversation. It can allow us to speak our minds without having to literally say anything.
Words have power. Fashion is all around us. And when words unite with fashion, messages will be loud and clear.
