THE MUSTS—All the fun times, celebrations and must-dos this December

The final countdown to 2017 has begun. With a few major holidays left to celebrate before 2016 comes to a close, don’t put those elastic pants away just yet. Thanksgiving was just a warm up for what December has to offer. There’s just something in the air that makes everyone want to bake sugar cookies shaped like snowflakes and do nothing but binge-watch a new show while lounging in pajamas all day.

Grab your nearest flannel onesie, find a fireplace (or woodsy scented candle) and get ready because winter is coming.

December 2: Faux Fur Friday—Let’s be frank, every day when the weather is below 35-degrees is faux fur day for a Fashionista. But today make it a point to channel your inner animal and rock some cruelty free faux fur.

December 5: Bathtub Party Day—This is a thing. We’re not exactly sure what “thing” it is exactly, but regardless use today to enjoy a relaxing soak to forget for five minutes that you are in the midst of finals.

December 9: “La La Land” Premieres—While everyone is counting down the days until “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story,” we’re over here anxiously awaiting the release of “La La Land.” Ryan Gosling (swoon). Emma Stone (girl crush). Singing (what?). We’re already jazzed and we don’t even know if Gosling shows off his abs during the movie yet. Here’s hoping!

December 13: Taylor Swift’s Birthday—Whether you are overtly Team Taylor or secretly fangirl from the confines of your car’s sound system, you know T. Swift’s birthday will be all over Instagram. Follow in the footsteps of Gigi, Karlie and the rest of her famous squad by wishing this songstress a happy 26th birthday.

December 16: National Chocolate Covered Anything Day—Have an excuse to dip, drizzle and drunk anything and everything in chocolate. Pretzels; strawberries; bacon; french fries. We will let you decide how far to take this to see if there really is anything that doesn’t pair well with chocolate sauce.

December 21: Winter Solstice—Technically considered the official start of winter, this is the shortest day and longest night of the year. Night owls, this day is for you.

WinterDecember 24: Chrismukkah—You guys—Christmas Eve and the first day of Hanukkah fall on the same day this year. It’s a Chrismukkah miracle! So blast “All I Want For Christmas” by Mariah Carey while consuming your body weight in potato latkes all in the name of holiday spirit.

December 31: New Year’s Eve—I think we all know how to ring in the last night of 2016, so do it in style and safely.
