STYLE GURU STYLE: Winter Wedding

Hey there Fashionistas/os! I’m sure many of you would agree that picking an outfit for a wedding can be tough. I admit I really struggled to find the right pieces for a wedding I attended over break. I wanted to find an outfit that would be comfortable and adorable without taking the attention away from the main event. Seems simple, right? Not quite.

Although I don’t believe heavily in any rules of fashion, I will say that weddings are in a category of their own. I needed to avoid white, ivory, silver, and anything sequined. If you hadn’t already noticed, shopping around the holidays means everything has sequins. This made shopping nothing less than an adventure.

While doing some last minute shopping post-Christmas, I got lucky and found a stunning jumpsuit hiding in the corner of a store. My tan clutch was tucked away in my closet and it was the perfect accessory for this shade of blue. Despite cold temperatures, I couldn’t resist pairing lace-up heels with this jumpsuit because I truly believe laces make virtually every outfit better. f laces and heels aren’t your style, a jumpsuit would pair fabulously with a pair of flats as well. Don’t be afraid to add complementary colors either!I added a few simple bracelets and trendy sunglasses to complete the accessorizing.

The greatest perk of wearing a jumpsuit to a wedding has got to be that it’s as functional as it is chic. I feel most comfortable wearing clothing that isn’t overly restricting, and while I can’t say that my dance moves are legendary, the dance floor was certainly no threat to this outfit. The next time you’re searching desperately for a wedding outfit, I hope the perfect jumpsuit peeps out from a corner and grabs your attention.
