Whats more unexpected for fall than a summer trend? For a while now, bra tops were the must have staple for those spring/summer months when it gets hotter, and why wouldn’t they be; they are the perfect way to beat the heat in a fashionable way. However, this Fashionista believes that we shouldn’t leave this trend behind during these months simply because the temperature is dropping.
As seen during fashion week at the Donna Karan spring 2015 ready-to-wear show, bra tops can still be used under jackets or tops to keep you covered during the colder months. Donna Karan presented the bra tops in a way that can be versatile,trendy and seemingly work for any types of weather.
My take on the look is tailored much more for the fall season. Playing off of the darker colors, I decided to go for an almost all black look, while adding touches of the classic colors for the fall, including a darker shade of red and green. The key to transforming this look from summer to fall was to simple by just adding the classic elements that make up the fall season, such as using dark colors, tights and a very warm jacket. Depending on where the end of the bra top hits, it is better to pair it with high waisted jeans, shorts or a skirt. Lastly, complete the look with a pair of your favorite fall boots and your favorite fall makeup look.
