STYLE GURU STYLE: Streetwear-Chic

My street style-inspired look was a look I have been wanting to try for a while and was also inspired by the Emporio Armani spring 2015 ready-to-wear show.

This show wasn’t just filled with streetwear; it was filled with dark colors and lots of blue as well, as some avant garde structures and loose-fitting garments.

Emporio Armani has become known for his memorable usage of the color blue over the past few years. His collections are very casual but fresh and this truly showed in this runway show. Each model looked chic and fit right into the theme of the collection, which seemed to be cool, sleek street style.

I tried to modestly emulate the feel of the collection by wearing a fun pair of vintage Nike high-top sneakers and a bright flannel around my waist. The rest of the outfit was basic and consisted of a plain white T-shirts and dark jeggings.

This runway show was filled with items I could wear every day and I loved taking inspiration from the catwalk to my closet. Although I don’t dress this way often, it feels freeing and fabulous to try out new looks that were sported in the latest runway show. Whenever I’m in a fashion rut, I turn to runway shows, where I end up with endless inspiration and an urge to play dress up. I encourage you to check out a runway show or two and see what kind of magic it brings to your wardrobe.

Get My Look: 1. A white T-shirt. 2. Dark jeggings. 3. A pair of high-top sneakers.
