As of late, I’ve been noticing a lot of masculine features being added to women’s clothing. There are many different clothing items becoming oversized and baggy. I think that’s a great thing, because now you can not only go through your own closet, but also your boyfriend’s, or even your dad’s. I enjoy seeing fashion designers take on the masculine trend. I also enjoy seeing Fashionistas dress in clothing such as oversized blouses and boyfriend jeans. It can give an outfit a nice relaxed and easy-going look. Recently, I saw the rag & bone resort 2016 collection. The collection was a mix of masculine, edge, urban, black, white, gray and pops of red. As soon as I saw the collection, I thought of outfits I would see in New York. The tracksuit, bomber jackets and long coats gave a feeling of fall and winter in the city. I like the collection so much that I decided to make it a bit more summer oriented.
I translated the looks into an everyday look by wearing a laid back outfit and adding a pop of red that is seen in the collection. I put on some black shorts, a black T-shirt and added a sheer red blouse over everything. I love how the red gives the outfit something interesting. With any pop of color, you are guaranteed to stand out. If you want to go for an even more similar look, you can wear a striped blouse instead of a black T-shirt, and wear leather shorts that have a stretch band at the waist.
I loved the outfit so much that I will definitely try more looks from this collection. I can imagine how great it would look when the weather starts getting cold. The jackets used in the collection would have made my outfit complete, but for now, I’ll stick with my red blouse.
