STYLE GURU STYLE: Polka-Dot Paradise

The Marc by Marc Jacobs spring 2015 ready-to-wear runway show had so much going on. The looks were something that I would not have ever thought I could translate into an everyday look. With that being said, I was determined to take the risky outfits from the runway into the perfect everyday look. The runway was filled with color and polka-dots. While I do have tons of color in my wardrobe, polka-dots are seriously lacking. There was one piece that I knew would be perfect for bringing this runway look to street-ready.

Rompers are a huge trend, and they are so simple to throw on. They can instantly make it look like you put so much effort into what you were going to wear. I absolutely love rompers and how they fit. When I came across this polka-dot romper in my closet I instantly knew this would be perfect! The Marc by Marc Jacobs runway show did not include jewelry so I kept it simple with some pearls and a bow ring. Since the show incorporated mostly color with the polka-dots, I brought in a bright pop of color from the mint cross-body bag. Instead of going with rain boots like the runway show, I went with sandals, but both looks are perfect for the fluctuating spring weather.

The Marc by Marc Jacobs 2015 show made me think outside of the box. The show gave me inspiration on just how amazing polka-dots can be. They may seem intimidating to style but are always worth the extra effort.

Get My Look: 1. A polka-dot romper. 2. Simplistic jewelry. 3. Bright colored purse.
