STYLE GURU STYLE: Oh So Classic

Of all runway collections, J.Crew is always the one that grabs my attention. It is the most relatable to my style, and the fabrics and colors always get me excited for next season’s fashion. My favorite one this year was the fall 2015 ready-to-wear collection. With its suede jackets, big blanket scarves and new denim silhouettes, it was just a gorgeous collection of a classic fall wardrobe. Each look is filled with neutrals such as camel jackets, gray and navy sweaters and a few pops of yellow here and there. It is an updated take on timeless classic style.

Fall and winter have always my favorite season to dress for because I love all of the neutral colors and fabrics that imitate the changing colors and colder weather. Using inspiration from the J.Crew collection, I took this brown suede top and paired it with a giant plaid blanket scarf; one of my favorite easy fall and winter looks. Suede has by far been my favorite texture this season. From clothing to boots, hats and handbags, it has certainly made an impact on my wardrobe.

Scarves have also been a staple this season since I think they can do so much for an outfit. A big blanket scarf can take a plain T-shirt and jeans and make it seem much more season appropriate and trendy. Not to mention, it keeps you as warm as a blanket would which is convenient for Syracuse weather! For the rest of my outfit, I stuck to the neutrals theme and paired my suede top and plaid scarf with an olive green knitted sweater, a brown leather bag and my favorite dark brown over-the-knee boots.

Get My Look: 1. A suede top. 2. Plaid blanket scarf. 3. Over-the-knee boots.
