STYLE GURU STYLE: Navy Zeal

I’m absolutely obsessed with rompers and for good reason—they are chic, comfy and so easy! The breezy chiffon of this navy blue romper dresses it up, and the ruffles are a cute feminine detail. Since it has a bit of a sleeve, it’s a little more fall-ready than tank top rompers. Also, it never hurts to complement your eye color, so as a blue-eyed girl, I love to wear blue.

Cuffs are a chic and attention-grabbing accessory. I chose not to wear any other jewelry because I think the multicolored stones of this cuff made enough of a statement. This one is from Forever 21 and is definitely one of my favorite pieces right now. It’s so easy to throw on a solid colored T-shirt dress or tank and make it fab with just one accessory.

I’m all about the lace-up flats trend right now. These gray ones are comfortable, and I was able to snag them from Target for just about $20. Lace-up flats make a statement but are more practical than heels or wedges. Plus, they zip up in the back so they don’t need to be laced up each time, since who doesn’t love a style shortcut?

The pink lips were a little outside of what I’d normally pair with navy, but I think a contrasting color stands out all the more. I’m also a total newbie when it comes to matte lips and was a little skeptical of the whole trend. This gorgeous Moisture Matte Lipstick by Butter London converted me into a fan, though. It goes on as easily as a cream lipstick but has the trendy matte appearance. It stays on for a long time and the color looks the same on as it does in the tube!

As summer wraps up and fall gets closer, I’m enjoying wearing my favorite warm-weather pieces (like this romper) and summery shades (like the pink lipstick). Don’t be afraid to mix a color combo you’ve never tried before, or try a piece of statement jewelry rather than a simple necklace or bracelet.
