The inspiration for this outfit came from Marc Jacobs spring 2015 ready-to-wear collection. The whole military, camouflage, army girl vibe has been really popular this year. Even the smallest aspects of the style have been seen frequently on an array of products, such as the color scheme of olive green and khaki. Personally, I have been loving all of the olive green and, in the words of Pantone, “Dried Herb.” Who would have thought that I could find leggings in this color! As soon as I purchased the leggings, I already envisioned wearing them with this camouflage jacket. The jacket has a masculine feel to it due to the structure and print, but it also has some feminine features like the little rhinestones on the front pocket.
I layered the look with a dark gray tank to match my booties. I feel like the dark gray accents complemented the look because there are some shades of gray incorporated into the camouflage print of the jacket. For accessories, I kept it simple with my everyday small, silver hoop earrings and a silver necklace. The necklace has a small dog tag on it, which makes it the perfect accent to this military inspired ensemble. My hair and makeup were kept pretty natural and simple. Not only was I comfortable, but the look was definitely good for a cool, mild day.
Get My Look: 1. The most important element of this look was definitely my camouflage jacket. 2. Layer with a basic tank top. 3. Add some fun green leggings. 4. Complete the look with your favorite booties.
