STYLE GURU STYLE: Marbleized

Spring has finally sprung and I am so excited for the sun, the flowers and the warm weather. I come to you this April with new inspiration for your spring wardrobe. My fashion finds come from Emilio Pucci’s spring and summer 2016 runway show. This runway show features striped blouses, pastel prints, sequined skirts, metallic pants, sea animals and laced garments. A few of the looks that captured my eyes were the marble blouses; it was like the designer was able to capture the essence of the rainbow and put it into these blouses. Needless to say, this look caught my attention and had me in awe at the fact that something simple could be done so well.

This runway show follows a trend that can so easily be incorporated into your everyday wardrobe. I found the top I am wearing at Target and it is one of my favorite pieces that I own. I consider it an inspiration piece because it reminds me of a piece of artwork or a watercolor painting, it is filled with color and movement and that is what I find fashion to be all about! Finding inspiration in everyday life, whether it be from art, nature, travel, books or music; fashion is all about taking that inspiration you find and honing it in your outfits each and every day. This outfit is easy to take from runway to everyday, because the blouse is easy to work with and goes well with a variety of skin tones. This look is quite simple, but it stands out in the crowd, because I find it to be so different from anything out there in stores now. I paired my marbleized blouse with a pair of white jeans, some beige booties, some pearl earrings and a mauve lip color.

This outfit is a great choice for the spring months, because the color palette of my blouse accentuates the many colors you see in the spring time and my white jeans keep this look light and cool. If it is warmer where you live, you can easily swap out the jeans for a skirt. This combination makes for a great outfit for a date night, a picnic in the park, shopping at the outlets or Sunday morning brunch with friends.
